Adobe Labs released a very useful tool for anyone that would like to learn about combining colours or creating what they call colour themes. The tool is called kuler.

Need to know what accent colors might go with your colour logo?
Visit kuler, go through the popular combinations, and click on one that contains your base colors. The tool then gives you all information you might need for RGB, CMYK, and Hex settings.

Also check out this tool that allows you to upload an image and let the tool suggest some colors you might use as accents. Color Palette Generator

The Color Palette Generator is very easy to use.

Thanks to Duct Tape Marketing for notice of these tools.

Have you ever wondered where the junk text you often see in sample templates or trial websites comes from? In short it has been used by printers since the 1500s and actually is not total garbage but is extracts from a latin text written in 45BC.

Check out www.lipsum.org/   for the what/why and where? info and a very useful tool to generate "Lorem ipsum dolor sit ame …." for use anywhere.  This is the real thing with no hidden jokes or offensive words.

There is also a Firefox Extension

"Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Nam id elit. Nulla facilisi. Duis pulvinar, ante eu sodales tempor, libero eros iaculis augue, id hendrerit nisl felis eget nibh. Praesent lorem. Proin quis sapien. Aenean dapibus, mi eget ullamcorper vestibulum, urna justo eleifend tortor, vestibulum consequat quam nulla eget pede. Nam vestibulum, lorem id gravida suscipit, magna metus malesuada sapien, ac sodales elit nulla et ipsum. Curabitur suscipit lacinia nisi. Donec pharetra dolor in lacus. Donec gravida nunc nec erat. Etiam auctor tempus diam. Fusce vel magna. Nullam ipsum tortor, lacinia nec, faucibus ut, interdum sed, ligula. Quisque non est."

  • Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit.
  • Suspendisse in neque a libero egestas dapibus.
  • Nulla bibendum ligula vitae massa.
  • Phasellus ac felis tempor dui sollicitudin aliquet.

The popular YouTube, MySpace and Secondlife websites are continuing to grab the IT and PR headlines and are fast becoming the most viewed sites for many people. As well as the frivolous, personal or scandalous content some serious content is featuring in the top ten lists.

Who would have thought that a video made by a university professor lecturing on a course of Digital Ethnography would be viewed 1,365,808 times in 3 weeks? The 4.5 minute video is about the buzzwords 'Web 2.0 Technology'

You don't know what 'Web 2.0 Technology' is?  Watch the video below!

The European Movement International campaign Speak up Europe has begun and aims to ignite a lively debate about the European Union (EU) and its future.

"We want to know what you think the EU should do and not do, where it should engage itself and how it should do it… Have your say, join the debate!"

What has Europe ever done for us?

Watch the video. A catchy animation with a good message but it is a shame that the 'more information' is very dry and uninteresting. I wonder how many people will read the accompanying text? How about some images and less dense text?
